Our historic school lies just steps from Chichester Cathedral, nestled within the Roman city walls and surrounded by picturesque streets, beautiful green spaces, and a vibrant local community.

Surrounded by rolling countryside to the north and glorious beaches to the south, Chichester offers the best of coast and country. The nearby South Downs National Park is perfect for outdoor adventures, while a short drive brings you to the sandy shores of West Wittering – ideal for surfing, swimming and sandcastles.

Boarders at Prebendal benefit from our exceptional setting, with regular excursions to local attractions including the renowned Chichester Festival Theatre, historic country estates, and the picturesque Isle of Wight. Whether it’s late-night shopping, ten-pin bowling, or seasonal celebrations like Bonfire Night and Burns’ Night, life here is full of excitement and opportunity.

Sport plays a key role at Prebendal and is enjoyed four afternoons a week. Our boarders, including those from overseas, get involved in football, netball, rugby, hockey, cricket, swimming, rounders, athletics and cross-country, as well as in our popular Inter-House competitions and Sports Day.

Chichester also enjoys excellent transport connections. London is just 70 miles away, with direct trains from Chichester Railway Station—only a few minutes’ walk from school. Brighton, Guildford, and Southampton are all easily reached, and we are within comfortable driving distance of Gatwick, Heathrow and Southampton airports, making travel straightforward for our growing number of international families.
