The academic curriculum at The Prebendal School offers every child a broad, balanced and inspiring education. Our excellent academic and scholarship record reflects the high expectations we set, and the individual care we give to every pupil. Children are thoroughly prepared for entry to the UK’s leading day and boarding schools, with many going on to secure scholarships.

Teaching at Prebendal is both challenging and nurturing. The pace of learning is lively and engaging, but great care is taken to ensure that no child ever feels overwhelmed. With a staff-to-pupil ratio of 9:1 and an average class size of just 14, our teachers know every pupil as an individual, tailoring their approach to bring out each child’s very best.

Able pupils can move quickly through the school to join our Scholarship Stream, while the equally important majority work towards Common Entrance at 13+. Whatever their path, every pupil is encouraged to be curious, confident, and ambitious — prepared not just for exams, but for a lifelong love of learning.
